John started his career working in the metal stamping industry while attending college at Grand Valley State. He received his bachelorsí degree from Grand Valley State in Labor Relations / Human Resources in 1979. John joined G&T Industries in January 1998 as the Corporate Human Resources Manager and in December of 2004 was promoted to Corporate Director of Human Resources. Prior to Joining G&T he worked in the human resources, safety and environmental fields in the automotive, furniture, and aerospace industries. He has served on several boards including the Grand Haven Board of Light and Power and the Hackley Occupational Health Group. John currently serves as the ESOP committee chairman and is a member of the board of directors. John and his wife Debra are the parents of Jennifer, Melissa, Heather, John Jr., Ken, Matthew, Alex and Cassie.
