G&T RECEIVES A VISIT FROM PAST LEADERS

G&T Industries, Inc. was thrilled to receive a visit at our Byron Center facility from past owner and board chairman emeritus, Robert “Bob” Wood, and former Chief Operating Officer, Chuck Kaiser. During their years of service, Bob and Chuck laid the foundation for the company’s success and engineered significant business innovation and growth.

“This was a great opportunity for some of our team members to learn about our DNA,” said Rol Grit, CEO and President. “Bob always put employees first and pioneered the people-oriented culture that we thrive on today.”

Wood, who joined the company in 1957, decided to make everyone a stakeholder in 2005 and established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Today, ten years later, G&T continues to grow with foam fabrication, global sourcing, and OEM contract assembly operations in Byron Center, MI; Jasper, IN; Reading, PA, and Ningbo, China.

After a tour of the production facility and a meet and greet with team members, Chuck said, “It’s amazing how much things have changed and improved through automation and lean.”

Long term veterans and new team members alike appreciated the opportunity to connect with our history and learn more about what it means to be an integral part of the success of the company overall and themselves personally.
